Working Element – Passive Type (for Resectoscope)

The passive working element is an essential part of a resectoscope system, primarily used in endoscopic urological and gynecological procedures such as TURP, TURBT, and operative hysteroscopy. Unlike the active type, the passive element holds the electrode in a fixed position while the sheath is manipulated for tissue resection.

Description

  • Fixed electrode position – movement is achieved by advancing or retracting the sheath, not the electrode.

  • Suitable for procedures where controlled sheath manipulation is preferred.

  • Compatible with standard monopolar or bipolar electrodes (loop, knife, roller ball, etc.).

  • Ergonomic design for steady grip and ease of use during long procedures.

  • Made from medical-grade stainless steel ensuring durability and resistance to wear.

  • Autoclavable and reusable, designed for repeated use in sterile environments.

  • Locks securely into standard resectoscope sheaths (commonly 24 Fr / 26 Fr).
